Mediation Skills Training is an experiential course which teaches a five-step mediation process. A mediator is an impartial person who uses the mediation process to help participants communicate effectively, explore underlying needs, and collaborate together to craft mutually beneficial outcomes. You don’t need to become a formal mediator in order to benefit from taking this course.
Certification: This course is frequently called a Rule 114 Certified MN Supreme Court General Mediation Skills Course and requires completion of 30 hours for court qualification. Participants must be present for all four (full) days to fulfill this requirement.
Help your organization communicate effectively, explore underlying needs, and collaborate: become a mediator. All levels of experience can benefit from this four-day mediation training designed specifically for city and county officials. Attendees will walk away with an in-depth understanding of the five-step mediation process.
During this program, you will:
- Build your listening and questioning skills.
- Break down how conflict works.
- Hone your negotiation skills.
- Practice facilitating difficult conversations.
