About the
survey

This tool allows
you to compare the salaries and benefits of your
staff to those of other organizations throughout
the entire state.

All Minnesota
cities and counties (greater MN and metro area),
as well as other public-sector organizations are
included in the 2009 survey.

More job
classes and new fields have been added. For
information about the changes, see
FAQs about the Salary & Benefit Survey.

You'll have greater
capacity to sort and download the data for
customized reports (e.g., sort cities by budget
size or by number of employees).

Participation in
the survey is required for free access. An
annual fee will be charged for non-participating
entities or other organizations requesting
access.
Data entry

Data entry
instructions and username/password were mailed
in mid-April.

First timers: data
entry may take a few hours, but the time
commitment will drop drastically in future
years. You'll find the effort is well worth your
while when the results are available in
mid-July.
