This position reports directly to the Deputy Director for the Administrative Services Division of the Community Corrections Department and manages the planning, evaluation, and development functions of the department, especially in relation to the implementation and evaluation of evidence-based practices with adult and juvenile offenders, both in the field and in the department’s three institutions. Social Services Supervisor -Big Stone County

 

Big Stone County seeks a full-time Social Services Supervisor; performs responsible professional supervisory work in the administration of the social service programs in a county agency, interprets policies, supervises social workers, develops and directs an orientation program for new staff, fosters effective community-agency relations, interviews clients when special problems arise, listens to grievances and recommends appropriate action.

Minimum qualifications: 1) an accredited master's degree in social work and one year of experience as a social worker; or 2) a master's degree from an accredited college in clinical psychology, counseling, psychology, human services administration or closely related field and one year of experience as a social worker; or 3) a bachelor's degree from an accredited college and four years of experience as a social worker. Must have passed the Minnesota Merit System test in order to be considered. Test will be administered in Big Stone County on Friday, July 10, 2009.

Good verbal and written communication skills and valid driver’s license required. Previous supervisory experience and/or Spanish speaking ability preferred. Salary range begins at $26.37 per hour. This is a non-union, exempt position. Customary fringe benefits available.

Public Health Nurse - Mower County

Mower County is seeking applicants for one Public Health Nurse position to work 3 to 5 days per week. Bachelor’s degree in nursing, current licensure by the state of Minnesota as a registered nurse and certification as a public health nurse preferred. RN applications accepted.

This position will work primarily in the area of Minnesota Senior Health Options Care Coordination, Disease Prevention and Control and other public health duties as assigned.
